The candles are handmade by Kaarsenmakerij Snel, run by twin sisters Mandy and Manon Snel. Their uncle Ruud Snel began making candles in Utrecht in 1969 and designed the Dom candle; the sisters continue his work and also created this Westertoren. As they are handmade, each candle is slightly different.
The set contains five 11 cm candles. We can discuss larger candles of 22 or 33 cm and other colours, such as dusty pink, ochre, petrol blue, jade, anthracite and sand.
